How to obtain Ansys License Server Information

Please follow the steps below on each system designated as a license server to gather the required data for generating the Ansys license file.

Windows x64 Systems

  1. Download the Windows x64 zip file: (WINX64.zip) Here
  2. Extract the zip file.
  3. Run AnsRegSvr.exe
  4. Click OK. You can leave all fields blank and it will still obtain the necessary information to generate the license file.
  5. Click Create File.
  6. Send the generated .INFO file to Ozen.

Linux x64 Systems

  1. Download the Linux x64 tar file: (LINX64.tar) Here or use:
    wget https://storage.ansys.com/staticassets/license/LINX64.tar
  2. Untar the tar file.
    tar xvf LINX64.tar
  3. Run ./GetLinx64Hostid
  4. Fill the requested information or use NA as it will still obtain the necessary information to generate the license file.
  5. Send the generated LICSERVER.INFO file to Ozen.
