This posting provides different workarounds that can address issues in loading ANSYS AEDT ACT wizard and toolkits.
If the AEDT ACT extension is failing to launch, this can be related to different issues. Below is a list of workarounds:
1) Installation issue: Uninstall AEDT and re install with admin privilege , try turn off the firewall and antivirus while installing as an admin then you can turn them on after restarting the machine.
3) Network issue: if a VPN is used, try to hard reboot the machine
5) Changing the name of the AnsysEM\AnsysEMx.x\Win64\common\ACT folder
6) Environment variable issue: Open a CMD window and run: echo %PATH%,
in the provided results, look for "C:\Program Files\PowerShell\7\". If it exists, user needs to edit the environment variable. To edit the environment variables, a) open System Properties, b) select Advanced tab, c) click on Environment Variables, d) edit the PATH environment variable and remove "C:\Program Files\PowerShell\7\"
