How to fix Maxwell crashes when working with field overlays?
Ansys provided the following workarounds:
- Update the Nvidia driver to the latest version and check if the crash is resolved.
- If the issue persists, revert to a driver version released on or before January 16.
During installation, choose the custom installation option and select clean installation. If the installation fails, restart the computer and try again.
- For laptops with integrated Intel graphics, use the integrated graphics instead of the Nvidia graphics card for rendering in AEDT. This option can be selected in the Nvidia Control Panel by going to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings tab, selecting ansysedt.exe, and then choosing Integrated Graphics. Note that this may reduce rendering performance, especially for larger models.
