How To Gather Ansys Diagnostics Files

Here are the instructions to generate a diagnostics file from your Ansys License Management Center(license server) and Client-Side Licensing Settings(workstation).

Try replicating the issue before generating the diagnostics.

LICENSE SERVER MACHINE - Please ensure these steps are carried out on the computer where the Ansys License Manager software is installed.

  1. Go to Windows Start Menu Search and look for "ANSYS License Management Center".
  2. Select "Gather Diagnostic Information", then "Save to File", and wait briefly for the process to finish. A file will be downloaded. Please navigate to your downloads folder and send the zip file to Ozen Engineering  support.

CLIENT MACHINE/WORKSTATION – This is the machine where the actual Ansys tools are installed.

  1. Open Windows Search and look for Licensing Settings
  2. Alternatively, you can access this application via the following path - Change"v241" based on your Ansys version:
  3. "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v241\licensingclient\winx64\LicenseSettings.exe"
  4. In the left panel, choose Gather Diagnostics > Click Generate > Allow 1-2 minutes for this process to complete.

  5. Go to the indicated location where the log files were saved and send the zip file to Ozen Engineering support via email.
