How to Clear Temporary Files
How can we clear temporary files in Ansys Workbench?
- Close all running Ansys applications.
- In your Windows search bar, type %APPDATA%. Go to the folder that appears.
- Navigate to the Ansys folder. There should be a folder inside called v232.
- The exact numbers will vary based on the version of Ansys you are using. v232 corresponds to Ansys 2023R2, v231 corresponds to Ansys 2023R1, and so on.
- Rename v232 to v232old. When you start Ansys again, Ansys will automatically create a new v232 folder.
This process can often resolve issues related to windows not showing up or analysis options not being available. Doing this may remove some user preferences and user defined layouts.
