How to calculate far fields in HFSS on custom surfaces other than the radiation boundary surface?
Using HFSS, the user can select different surfaces for the far fields calculation.
To calculate the far fields on specific surfaces other than the radiation boundary, the user needs first to create a facelist. To create a facelist, select a surface or multiple surfaces, then select Modeler menu Item >> List > Create > Face List
To change the radiation surface from the default radiation boundary face, open the infinite sphere for the far field setup , select the Radiation Surface tab, select Use Custom Radiation Surface, and then select the desired face list from the drop down menu, and click ok
