How to correct very small font and icon sizes in Ansys Electronics Desktop

This article describes how to correct an issue which causes very small fonts and icon sizes in Windows installations of the Ansys Electronics Desktop.

After installing a new version of Ansys Electronics Desktop on Microsoft Windows, there can be an issue where fonts and icons in the user interface appear very small so they are essentially unreadable. This scaling issue is typically caused by DPI settings on high-resolution or 4k monitors. Here are the steps to modify the DPI settings to correct the font size issue.

1. Close the Ansys Electronics Desktop.
2. Right-click on the AEDT shortcut icon on the Windows desktop and select Properties
   
   
3. In the Properties window, select the Compatibility tab and then select "Change high DPI settings" 
   
   
4. Check the box "Use this setting to fix scaling..." and also check the box "Override high DPI scaling behavior". Choose Scaling performed by: System (Enhanced)
   
   
   Now the issue should be corrected when you open the Ansys Electronics Desktop application.
