How much is the GPU memory usage per 1M mesh cell?

The GPU memory usage when running with Fluent GPU solver depends to the precision, mesh element type, enabled models, and solver settings.

When using the Fluent Native GPU solver, all flow calculations take place on the GPU. This means that your problem must fit within the available GPU card RAM. The CPU cores are utilized only for tasks such as the GUI, file I/O, monitor display, printing in the console, and so on. 

Here are some guidelines regarding CPU/GPU RAM requirements: 

- 5GB RAM per 1 million Cells: For a 3d + polyhedral mesh + coupled solver + 2-equation turbulence model. 

- 1GB RAM per 1 million Cells: For a 3d, single precision, simple mesh elements (tetrahedra or hexahedra), segregated solver, 2-equation turbulence model.
