How do I Run a Workbench LS-DYNA Model Solution in Batch with LS-Run?
Workbench LS-DYNA can be used to pre- and post-process LS-DYNA batch solutions if the model is completely defined in Workbench LS-DYNA
NOTE: This method only works if the model is completely developed from within Workbench LS-DYNA.
In Workbench LS-DYNA, click on the Solution branch and select Write Input File from the Solution Context Bar. LS-DYNA will ask you to name and place the input file in a folder location:
In Analysis Settings, take note of the Solver Unit System:
In LS-Run, select the input file and run using the appropriate settings:
In Mechanical LS-DYNA, click on the Solution Branch and select Read Results Files from the Solution Context Bar and browse to the folder where the input and results files reside:
Select the d3plot file and choose the corresponding Results Unit System that matches the Solver Unit System (in this case Bin = U.S. Customary (in, lbm-in, lbf, °F, s, V, A)):
Hit Ok, and now the results are read into Ansys Workbench LS-DYNA.
