Does Icepak provide variable solar load for unsteady (transient) analyses?
Solar calculator
Yes. The user needs to:
1. enable Solar Load Model in Classical Icepak (Problem Setup>Basic Parameters>Advanced)
2. click on Options tab
3. in the new window select solar calculator
4. define local time and coordinates
If the transient execution is selected, the solar load will be automatically updated every 10 time steps. For steady-state analysis, the solar load will remain constant per local time and coordinates.
