Cropping a design in the IC mode of HFSS 3D Layout
You can filter nets and/or clip a design using a polygon. If cropping leaves behind unwanted fragments, adjust the relevant parameter in the Geometry Simplification Settings window.
To crop a design in IC mode:
-
From the Layout ribbon, click Crop.
-
If needed, navigate to the Layout Editor tab and locate the desired components.
-
Click within the Layout Editor to begin selecting the region you want to preserve. Move the cursor to enclose the area.
-
Press Enter or right-click and select Finish.
All elements outside the selected region will be removed from the design.
