Can we define anisotropic conductivity for solids in Fluent?
In real life materials might have variation in material properties such as conductivity of a solid.
You can define anisotropic conductivity in Fluent. Ansys Fluent provides options to solve the conduction equation in solid zones and shells with the thermal conductivity specified as a matrix. The options available for defining anisotropic thermal conductivity in Ansys Fluent include anisotropic biaxial (available for shells only), orthotropic cylindrical, orthotropic principal axes and principal values, and user-defined anisotropic.
